Monday of Holy Week
May we always feel compelled by his love (2 Corinthians 5:14), (Gaudete et exsultate 130).
`Leave her alone,’ Jesus replied, ‘it was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.’
People who know our time and world complain that today Christianity in all its branches and levels has lost its vitality because the commandment of love is too little understood and practised. Everything can be bought, even love. It can be had for money, at least outwardly that is the condition; and without money the world, and to some extent also the Church, has become an icy cellar.
