26 Tuesday 3rd week of Lent
He gives us two faces, or better yet, one alone; the face of God reflected in so many other faces (Gaudete et exsultate 61).
‘I tell you not seven times, but seventy seven times.’
From a certain point of view, love of others is even more important than love of God. It gives our love of God a visible object. … That is why St John tells us: If you love God, you also have to love your brothers and sisters (cf. 1 Jn 4,21). Spiritual teachers point out that on account of the inner connection between love of God and love of others, we have a welcome opportunity to pay off our debts to God. (Everyday Sanctity – JK)
