11 April 5th Week of Lent
God is not afraid! He is fearless. He is always greater than our plans and schemes. Unafaid of the fringes, he himself became a fringe (Gaudete et exsultate 135).
‘I tell you the truth before Abraham was I am.’
We may imagine that our Lord, the Purest and Holiest, was afflicted with all the most hideous and foul sins, from the sin of Cain down to the last act of evil at the end of the world. No wonder that he sweated blood in his agony. … Yet whatever our Lord bore, he bore out of love for us. (Everyday Sanctity – JK)
